Transformers has always been one of my favorites growing up, like most kids during that time we all collected the toys and watched the cartoons. Transformers is a worldwide franchise and I'm glad they decided to revive it and I'm glad they decided on Michael Bay. People will argue that he all about blowing things up and nothing about plot and I salute that. The original cartons never had much plot either, what it did have was cool robots fighting each other. Almost every episode had a Autobot vs Decepticons battle where the good side prevails naturally. It was simple, the formula never changed and it drew mass appeal. Fast forward to the first film and people got what they expected and some were not happy. The movie was made for adults, but the plot for kids and for me it felt like watching a original Transformers cartoon, but in live action.

Revenge of the Fallen is much like the first one, but bigger, longer, and more robots. I loved every bit of it. Critics will say it's two and a half hours of explosions and robot fighting with splashes of plot and some comedy relief. Well that sounds like the formula you should follow when making a Transformers movie. Listen, the producers are not out to re-tell the transformers storyline as there isn't much to tell, there goal is to make reality our fantasies as kids, which was to see real live robots and lots of fighting.

The action in this movie is fast-paced and there are more explosions. What sets this one apart was the focus on the Robots. The first movie lacked the quality fight scenes fans wanted, but Fallen delivers. I won't go to much to the back story, but suffice it to say Optimus Prime does some ass kicking and then dies at the hand of Megatron. Sam(LaBeouf) must resurrect Optimus as he is the only Prime left and the only one that can stop The Fallen. The final fight scene is a anti-climatic, but at 2:30 hours they decided it needed to be wrapped up. This movie will make tons of money and sell tons of toys and create a new fan base, oh look that's what the original did for Hasbro too. If you're a grown up fan this movie will hit the spot, if you've never experienced Transformers, this just another Bay Film.
